The Detroit Red Wings are one of the most storied franchises in professional sports. They’ve won four Stanley Cups, and have seen several Hall of Fame players pass through their ranks. But when they were struggling to stay relevant in the 90s, they turned to a then-unknown actor named Pee Wee Herman for help.
what happened to peewee herman is a question that has been asked for years. The answer, sadly, is not as simple as it once was.
This Video Should Help:
Hey there! My name is Pee Wee Herman, and I’m a Detroit native. I was born in 1935, and to this day I am still the smallest man in show business! (Although lately my competition has been a giant Flintstone!) Anyway, as you might have guessed from my diminutive stature, I started out as a child actor in the 1950s. In fact, my first role was on TV’s The Howdy Doody Show! After that show ended, I moved on to other projects like appearing in an episode of The Monkees and even making an appearance on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson! But it wasn’t until I starred in my own TV series that things really took off for me…
The series was called Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure and it aired from 1978-1985. It was such a success that not only did I continue playing small roles after the show ended (like appearing in An American Tail and Playhouse 90), but also I released several albums and songs throughout the years. Nowadays people mostly know me for my cameo appearances on various sitcoms like 30 Rock or Arrested Development (where I played Tobias Fufffdnke!), but that’s all going to change soon because…
Recently someone discovered some old footage of me performing live at a nightclub back when Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure was airing…and they’ve decided to release the footage as part of a new biopic about my life called Pee Wee Herman Detroit! Needless to say, this is huge news for me – not only because it will help revive interest in my career (which admittedly hasn’t been great since 1985), but also because it means I’ll get to see myself up on big screen once again!!! So if you’re ever down by Belle Isle watching some street performers or just taking a break from your day job, make sure to give me a shout – maybe we can chat about our days on Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure together!
