Hey everyone! If you’re like me, you love to tinker and learn about new technologies. So when I saw that the Detroit 60 Series sensors had been released, I couldn’t resist trying to find out where they were located. After a little research, I was able to narrow it down to a few locations – check them out below!
DD13 Sensor Locations
The DD13 is equipped with a variety of sensors that are critical for proper engine operation. These sensors provide information on everything from coolant temperature and pressure to engine speed and load. Here is a rundown of the most important DD13 sensor locations:
1. Coolant Temperature Sensor: The coolant temperature sensor is located in the thermostat housing on the front of the engine. This sensor monitors the temperature of the coolant and sends a signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to adjust engine timing and fuel injection accordingly.
2. Boost Pressure Sensor: The boost pressure sensor is located on the charge air cooler (CAC) intake manifold. This sensor measures the amount of boost pressure being generated by the turbocharger and sends a signal to the ECM to adjust fuel injection and turbocharger operation accordingly.
3. Intake Manifold Pressure/CAC Temp Sensor: The intake manifold pressure/CAC temp sensor is located on the CAC intake manifold, just downstream of the boost pressure sensor. This sensor measures both CAC temperatures and intake manifold pressure, and sends signals to the ECM to adjust fuel injection, turbocharger operation, and cooling fan operation accordingly.
4. DD15 Water Pump Sensor: The DD15 water pump sensor is located on top of the water pump housing, at the front ofthe engine block nearthe timing cover . This sensor monitors water pump speedand sendssignals tothe ECMto activate or deactivatethe cooling fansas needed .
DD15 Boost Pressure Sensor Location
The DD15 boost pressure sensor is located on the back of the engine, near the turbocharger. This sensor is responsible for measuring the amount of air that is being forced into the engine by the turbocharger. If there is not enough air being forced into the engine, then the sensor will send a signal to the computer to increase the amount of fuel being injected into the engine. This will help to increase power and performance.
Cascadia Coolant Temperature Sensor
The Cascadia coolant temperature sensor is located on the back of the engine, near the water pump. It monitors the temperature of the coolant and sends a signal to the computer when it gets too hot. The computer then adjusts the amount of fuel being injected into the engine to compensate for the higher temperature.
Intake Manifold Pressure CAC Temp Sensor
The DD15 has a pressure sensor located in the intake manifold. This sensor monitors the amount of pressure in the manifold and sends a signal to the DD15 computer. The computer uses this information to regulate the amount of boost pressure that is sent to the cylinders. The CAC temp sensor is located in the same area as the pressure sensor. This sensor monitors the temperature of the air in the intake manifold and sends a signal to the DD15 computer. The computer uses this information to regulate the amount of fuel that is injected into the cylinders.
DD13 Sensor Locations:
The DD13 has several sensors located throughout its engine compartment. These sensors monitor various aspects of engine performance and send signals to the DD13 computer. The computer uses this information to adjust engine settings such as fuel injection and ignition timing. Sensors on the DD13 include: coolant temperature, intake manifold pressure, exhaust gas temperature, turbocharger speed, camshaft position, crankshaft position, and oil pressure.
DD15 Water Pump Sensor
The DD15 water pump sensor is located on the water pump, and is used to monitor the water pump’s performance. The sensor measures the water pressure and temperature, and sends this information to the engine control unit (ECU). If the sensor detects a problem with the water pump, it will send a signal to the ECU, which will then activate the engine’s emergency shutdown procedure.
