So when I saw that the Detroit 60 Series sensors had been released, I couldn’t resist trying to find out where they were located. After a little research, I was able to narrow it down to a few locations – check them out below!
DD13 Sensor Locations
The DD13 is equipped with a variety of sensors that are critical for proper engine operation. These sensors provide information on everything from coolant temperature and pressure to engine speed and load. Here is a rundown of the most important DD13 sensor locations:
1. Coolant Temperature Sensor: The coolant temperature sensor is located in the thermostat housing on the front of the engine. This sensor monitors the temperature of the coolant and sends a signal to the Engine Control Module (ECM) to adjust engine timing and fuel injection accordingly.
2. Boost Pressure Sensor: The boost pressure sensor is located on the charge air cooler (CAC) intake manifold. This sensor measures the amount of boost pressure being generated by the turbocharger and sends a signal to the ECM to adjust fuel injection and turbocharger operation accordingly.
3. Intake Manifold Pressure/CAC Temp Sensor: The intake manifold pressure/CAC temp sensor is located on the CAC intake manifold, just downstream of the boost pressure sensor. This sensor measures both CAC temperatures and intake manifold pressure, and sends signals to the ECM to adjust fuel injection, turbocharger operation, and cooling fan operation accordingly.

DD15 Boost Pressure Sensor Location
The DD15 boost pressure sensor is located on the back of the engine, near the turbocharger. This sensor is responsible for measuring the amount of air that is being forced into the engine by the turbocharger. If there is not enough air being forced into the engine, then the sensor will send a signal to the computer to increase the amount of fuel being injected into the engine. This will help to increase power and performance.
Cascadia Coolant Temperature Sensor
The Cascadia coolant temperature sensor is located on the back of the engine, near the water pump. It monitors the temperature of the coolant and sends a signal to the computer when it gets too hot. The computer then adjusts the amount of fuel being injected into the engine to compensate for the higher temperature.
Intake Manifold Pressure CAC Temp Sensor
The DD15 has a pressure sensor located in the intake manifold. This sensor monitors the amount of pressure in the manifold and sends a signal to the DD15 computer. The computer uses this information to regulate the amount of boost pressure that is sent to the cylinders. The CAC temp sensor is located in the same area as the pressure sensor. This sensor monitors the temperature of the air in the intake manifold and sends a signal to the DD15 computer.
